Take Command Smart Buildings

In Baton Rouge LA, Virtual Command Technology is being reviewed by numerous educational and governmental facilities as community leaders work together to shorten the response time to critical incidents at high-risk facilities.

With the successful implementation of the Baton Rouge Virtual Command Network in May 2010, the police and fire agencies now have a shared platform which give intelligence from within the impacted facility; information they otherwise would not be able to obtain with conventional technology.

AIC in Baton Rouge is offering a starter package which consists of hardware and software which enables the basic components of Virtual Command Technology to be implemented as an initial step toward the most advanced security and life-safety protection available today.
  • Now video data, emergency threat alarms and fire signals can be directly transmitted to the responder vehicle and incident command posts for immediate situational awareness during a critical incident.
  • Responders no longer "go in blind" to a critical incident such as an active shooter, fire or major disturbance.
  • Is ideal for retro-fit applications where conventional system are already in place.
  • During times of financial stress, this package delivers immediate implementation of advanced response tools while addressing increasing security risks in an economical fashion.
Recognizing that some budgets may not allow for full-scale Virtual Command Technology implementation, AIC and NetTalon developed a starter package to begin the process of applying this leading responder-based technology in an effort to recognize immediate response benefits.

This first step gives law enforcement the visual component of the technology by pushing video within the facility directly to incident commanders and responders during an emergency.

The video from existing system are then placed in a format recognized by the responders and in a manner that gives them situational awareness needed to mitigate critical incidents. This is a turnkey package delivering the necessary components to begin implementation immediately.

Package Features and Benefits

The Virtual Command Starter Package gives clients the ability to begin the process of implementation of Virtual Command Technology by linking building intelligence directly to first responders.

The package does not simply grant responders access to your network for them to intepret disparate systems; instead, it places your building intelligence into our specially encrypted system and puts it on a platform that meshes with the responder's need for fast information.

AIC provides all software and support for these agencies. Once the facility is online, the responding agency is able to place that location on their mapping tool as being one of the Smart Buildings within their jurisdiction. They then can have access to technologies in a common platform with other similar critical infrastructures.
